Level II Technical Training

Level II is where senior members begin their technical training in their chosen specialty. Member can select from 21 different specialties-- from communications to cadet programs. Each specialty is essential to the proper function of the CAP organization. Many specialty tracks have incorporated formal courses into the training program, to make it easier for seniors to learn about their jobs.

In addition, senior members will take Squadron Leadership School at this stage. SLS is a two-day school designed to expose seniors to squadron operations, and provide them with insight into how their jobs come together to perform CAP’s three-faceted mission within the squadron.

Also included is ECI-13, CAP Senior Officer Course. This correspondence course is designed to give relatively new members an exposure to basic leadership, communication, and management principles, provide a deeper understanding of CAP customs and courtesies, and a more detailed overview of CAP’s rich history.
