Professional Development for Connecticut Wing Senior Members Spring 2006 Revised DATE Wednesday, March 15, 2006 Squadron Leadership School – SLS – March 25 and 26, (0900 – 1700) both days For senior members to learn about the work done at the Squadron level We would like experienced squadron members and Squadron Commanders to help teach modules of this program. Requirements for attendees: Must complete a CAP Form 17 (with all necessary signatures), must have completed Level 1, must be in one or more Specialty tracks, and pay attendance fee (see below).
Corporate Learning Course – CLC – May 20 and 21, (0900 – 1700) both days For senior members to learn about the work done at the Wing level. We would like CTWG staff to help teach modules of this program. Requirements for attendees: Must complete a CAP Form 17 (with all necessary signatures), must have completed Level 1, must have completed an SLS, must be in at least one or more Specialty tracks and have a Technician rating, and pay attendance fee (see below).
Unit Commanders Course – UCC – June 3 and 4, (0900 – 1700) both days For senior members who are or anticipate being Squadron Commanders. We would like past and present Squadron Commanders to help teach modules of this program. Requirements for attendees: Must complete a CAP Form 17 (with all necessary signatures), must have completed Level 1, must pay attendance fee (see below).
All courses will start promptly at 0900 and end before 1700 on each Saturday and Sunday. All courses will cost $25 per attendee. This covers the cost of paper, pens, pencils, binders, supplies, copying, printing, breakfast, lunch, and snacks (soda, coffee, tea, milk, etc.) for both days. If you have any dietary restrictions please let Major Oestreicher know immediately. Check must be made out to “CTWG”. All courses will be hosted at Stratford Eagles Squadron – Civil Air Patrol (SESCAP) in Stratford, CT All course materials are available on-line from the National Website (PowerPoint), but will also be provided at the start of the course. If you wish, study the slides before attending. All participants must complete all requirements to attend the class before attending. All appropriate forms, payment, and authorizations must be received by Major Oestreicher no later than five days before the start date of the program. If we do not have at least five CAP Form 17s signed by the attendees’ Unit Commanders within five days of the start of the course, the course will be cancelled.
